TasteForFree is a directory of free wine tastings throughout the state of California.
With the recent growth and commercialization of Californias wine industry, many wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms are charging increasing tasting fees while providing poor service.
Luckily, there are still over 180 wineries throughout the state that offer complimentary tastings to visitors. TasteForFree can be used with or without a network connection to find free tastings at wineries near your devices location or by a standard zip code/city search.
The app provides winery information, average bottle price, number of wines to sample for free, average winery rating based on Yelp! and TripAdvisor reviews, tasting room hours, directions to the tasting room, and any electronic coupon that may be needed for the complimentary tasting.
This app does NOT feature any wineries that charge a tasting fee and credit it toward a purchase, require a special credit card or wine club membership, or require a printed-out coupon for tasting.
Note that mapping, directions, and visiting winery websites will not work without a data or wifi connection.
TasteForFree includes free tastings from wineries in Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, Lake County, Lodi, Livermore, Santa Cruz, the Central Valley, Solano County, Monterey County, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbera.
